Market survey was conducted on similar platforms to gain much needed insights on layouts, functionality needed to deliver for an wholesome solution. We tried to identify what worked and what didn't for the present products.
I studied how other platforms approached creating their own hiring management system to inform key decisions in designing Precision as it standard for analysis.
We simplified the site's initial structure by combining similar information onto single pages and renamed menu items to make the navigation more intuitive.
We created low fidelity designs to get a picture of a possible solution to suite what the solution we had in mind. I created dashboards layout and web layout for the website and the main product.
Precision design system aims to make confusing elements and information simple and intuitive. This is achieved through the use of relatable elements and user-friendly typefaces in a bid not unsettle users.
Precision logo is two pieces of blocks joining precisely to represent the accuracy the products offers in hiring the right candidate.
Two contrasting typefaces were chosen for both their aesthetic appeal and readability at small scales.
The color palette was derived from ASU’s secondary palette with the hues adjusted to reflect a more sophisticated approach.
With the primary users in mind, we were able to design a platform that makes hiring not only easy but also flexible as the Precision provides room for collaboration across many hiring decision process.
Precision is set to launch in mid 2022. After launching with an MVP, the team plans to begin user testing to further iterate on the product's design, features, and functionality.
